And yes I also read that they are high in saturated fat which is directly linked to heart diseases. Saturated fat boosts LDL cholesterol ( this is the bad one) and triglycerides hence many heart doctors advice to stay away from palm oil.

Re: 21 Day Sugar Detox: Week 1

If anyone wants to take a look at what happens with this kind of diet, check out my blog... this diet has been of amazing help in my diabetes.

http://type1nomore.blogspot...

Re: Primal Shepherd’s Pie – with Cauliflower

I love your site, has great info, I have been doing the paleo diet for about 1 year and love it, I even put a blog together to help people understand what the paleo diet is all about, thanks again for the great write up. However as soon as you fry it you oxidise all of these good oils and it becomes a bad fat :-( Sadly any oil when cooked at high temperatures converts to a form that is really bad for you. You should source whether it is from a Palm plantation or rainforest - huge tracks of rainforest in Indonesia are being devestated in order to produce palm oil and desroying the only habitat for Orangutangs. Most Palm Oil is really unsustainable :-(

Re: Can you say… “Slacker”?

I started crossfit about 4 months ago and I love it, but I could get the results I was hoping for until I started the paleo Diet. thank goodness i stumbled across this http://www.youtube.com/watc...

I have lost 15 pounds and 2 notches on my belt!!

Re: Can you say… “Slacker”?

my blog is paleyo.blogspot.com, check it out when you get a minute...it seems like we're at very similar stages.

Re: Can you say… “Slacker”?

I love your blog!
